House calls within our service areas and virtual visits are included for established patients. We understand that family circumstances change. After an initial 12-month commitment, memberships may be cancelled with 30 days written notice. This initial period allows us to establish a meaningful therapeutic relationship and provide the comprehensive, preventive care that forms the foundation of your child's long-term health.

We can arrange gift memberships for any duration and provide gift certificates for special occasions. Several of our families have grandparents who live outside the Bay Area but want to ensure their grandchildren have the best possible pediatric care. We're happy to work with gift-givers to set up payment arrangements and can provide regular health updates (with parental consent) to keep extended family involved in the child's care journey.

The membership fee may be eligible for tax benefits depending on your specific situation. Many of our families successfully use Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds to pay for their membership, as it covers medical services. Yes, we're committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. We may not be in-network with insurance plans, we provide comprehensive documentation and superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans offer out-of-network benefits that can help offset costs.

Our administrative team is experienced in providing the detailed documentation insurance companies require, including proper coding, itemized services, and medical necessity information. We'll work with you to ensure you have everything needed for reimbursement claims. While we cannot guarantee what your specific plan will reimburse, many of our families successfully receive partial reimbursement for covered services. We maintain buffer time in our daily schedule specifically for sick visits and urgent concerns.
